1. Operator´s responsibilities before
op er ating the equipment
Before the operator starts using the
plat form he must:
- check the ground, that the jacks are
will against the ground and that the
unit is in the horizontal position,
- in spect the plat form and par ticu larly
check the fas tening of the railings
and supports,
- check all the individual modules and
that the modules are func tioning,
- inform all the failures to a superior,
- not use the platform before re pairing
the failures found,
- check the daily inspection form,
whether there are any notes on fail-
ures or in terruptions,
- carry out the maintenance activities
accordingly
- check, that the area where plat form
has been erected is fenced accord-
ing to the instructions,
- determine the method of commu ni-
cation with other using the hooter,
- refuse to start working with tech nically
inefcient platform,
- check the wall anchors
2. Operator´s responsibilities during
work
During the work the operator should:
5.2.1. SCOPE OF OPERATOR´S RESPONSIBILITIES
- observe the perfomance of all in di-
vidual mechanisms,
- take care that the permitted plat-
form loadings are not exceeded,
- not use the platform as a lift. Do not
trans port materials to upper stores,
- not make any rapid movements or
lean over the railings,
- use determined warning signals,
- not make any repairs, adjustments
and maintenance during platform
op eration,
- act according to instructions in case of
supply voltage shortage
OPERATOR MUST BE TRAINED FOR USING THE PLATFORM.
5.2.2. PROCEDURES IN EMERGENCY CASES
After engagement of the safety brake,
stop working and contact the nearest
authorized service company.
After engagement of the safety brake,
it is necessary to nd out the reason be-
fore releasing the safety brake.
Following points should be checked:
1. brake function grade of the lifting
motor,

. meshing of the pinions: driving and
safety brake with rack,
3. condition of the lifting gear,
3. Operator´s responsibilities after the
work has been completed
After the work the operator should:
- drive the platform to the bottom
position,
- switch off the power supply from the
main switch on the platform and the
chassis elec tric box,
- switch off the power supply off the
unit,
- clean the platform, driving motor, roll-
ers, guides and other mecha nisms,
- carry out the general techical in-
spection of running mechanisms and
mo bile elements,
- note all remarks and observations,
- remove pendant control
