Lubrication instructions:
1. The platform must be lowered down before any lubrication
activities take place. Also the electricity must be switched
off.
2.
Lubrication should be done according to a lubrication
schedulewhereyouwillndallnecessaryinformationconcern-
ing time limits, lubrication points and oils and greases. Lubrica-
tion points are shown on drawing 6.6.
3. Lubrication points should be kept clean.
4. When lubricating slide bearings with a grease gun, it is neces-
sary to make sure that grease will enter to both surfaces. The
grease should be pressed in until the surplus is running out.
5. At every change of grease in bearings, the condition of bear-
ing seals should be checked and damaged seals replaced
with new ones.
6.3. LUBRICATION
Lubrication is one of the most important platform maintenance
operation.
Recommended greases and oils are shown on table 6.3.2.
