5 Operating the analyzer
5.1 Introduction
This chapter provides step-by-step procedures for operating your analyzer on a daily basis.
A flow chart presenting the common daily operating process is shown below.
CAUTION
• Do not contact the patients’ sample blood directly.
• Do not reuse disposable products such as collection tubes, test tubes, capillary tubes and
so on.
• To attain accurate analysis results, make sure the sample volume meets requirements
and run the sample as soon as possible after collection.
• The samples stored under refrigeration condition (2-8°C) must be kept at room
temperature for at least 15 minutes before analysis.
• Misleading results may occur if the sample has floccules, clots, etc. Follow your laboratory
protocol to deal with such samples.
NOTE:
• Check that the reagent tubes are properly connected before using the analyzer.
• Be sure to use clean collection tubes, fused silica glass/plastic test tubes, centrifugal
tubes and borosilicate glass capillary tubes with EDTAK
