10.3 Maintaining the analyzer
Maintenance options of the analyzer include different options. Tap MENU > SERVICE >
MAINTENANCE to access to these options.
Probe cleanser maintenance:
You should perform the Probe Cleanser maintenance procedure when:
• Background results are out of range, QC results abnormal or scattergram abnormal
due to long term idleness of the analyzer; or when other maintenance operations fail to
solve the clog error.
• The analyzer shuts down due to loss of power; probe cleanser maintenance must be
performed after it is started up again.
The steps for the daily Probe Cleanser maintenance are:
1. Tap FLUIDICS > PROBE CLEANSER MAINT. from the “Maintenance” screen. A dialog
box will be displayed.
2. Present the uncapped Probe Cleanser tube under the sample probe as instructed on
the screen.
3. Press the aspirate key to start the maintenance. The analyzer aspirates some Probe
Cleanser.
4. Remove the Probe Cleanser.
You can also choose which components needs a Probe Cleanser maintenance when
necessary:
1. Tap PROBE CLEANSER MAINT. from the “Maintenance” screen.
2. Select the component that requires a maintenance.
3. Present the uncapped Probe Cleanser tube under the sample probe as instructed on
the screen.
4. Press the aspirate key to start the maintenance. The analyzer aspirates some Probe
Cleanser.
5. Remove the Probe Cleanser.
The steps for the cleaning procedure are:
1. Tap CLEANING from the “Maintenance” screen.
2. Select the corresponding cleaning program.
Pack-up (prepare for shipment):
If the analyzer will not be used for over 15 days, you should perform this procedure:
1. Tap MENU > SERVICE > MAINTENANCE > FLUIDICS.
2. Tap PACK-UP and follow the software instructions to complete the procedure.
