Configuring the security program The following procedure describes the settings in Windows
®
Defender. If you
use a different security program, define the settings accordingly. Work
through the individual dialog windows and then click on
Next.
1. Open the Windows
®
Defender (Settings\Update & Security\Windows
®
Defender).
2. Ensure that the following settings are in place:
• Realtime protection: on
• Cloud-based protection: off
• Automatic sample submission: on
3. Under “Exclusions”, click “Add an exclusion”.
