»TCM« – Trip Circuit Monitoring [74TC]
The trip circuit monitoring is used for monitoring if the trip circuit is ready for operations.
The WIC1 module »TCM« monitors the trip circuit based on internal measurements if it is
permanently supplied with su󰊡cient energy (╚═▷ “2.3 Supply of a WIC1”). If an interrupt is
detected an alarm signal is issued after the (internally 󰊟xed) delay of 10 seconds.
If a trip circuit is used that must not be operated continuously it is necessary to block
the module »TCM« in case of an open breaker (via assigning an appropriate input signal to
[Protection Para / TCM] »TCM . ExBlo«). Such a blocking signal can be a digital input or the
detected breaker position (see ╚═▷ “4.1.4.1 Switchgear Con󰊟guration).
