8 Servicing and Maintenance
The entire protection system WIC1 is designed for a maintenance-free period of 25 years,
hence there are no speci󰊟c jobs necessary to be done during the operating life of the relays.
However, very often a periodical check of the protection functionality is required by the end
user or by legal directives. Such checks can then be carried out as described in ╚═▷ “7.1
Commissioning / Protection Test”.
