1. Installation
Connecting the telephone line cord
Insert one end of the line cord into the socket on the back of the machine
marked TEL. LINE. Insert the other end into a wall telephone socket. (Use the
type that fits in your wall telephone socket)
Setting the dial mode:
The fax machine is set for tone dialling. If you are on a pulse dial line, you
must set the fax machine for pulse dialling. Press the keys on the operation
panel as follows:

Press once and once.

Press once and 3 times.

Press once.

Select the dial mode:
TONE: PULSE:
5
Press to exit.
STOP
TEL.LINE
Display:
The display briefly shows
your selection, then:
OPTION SETTING
DIAL MODE
PSEUDO RING
1=TONE, 2=PULSE
