4.3.6.2 Muting variants
4.3.6.2.1 Cross muting
Overview
F
or muting using a crossed arrangement of the muting sensors, material can move
either from left to right or from right to left, i.e., material flow is possible in both
directions.
Important information
DANGER
The ESPE switches to red after becoming clear
The ESPE switches to red after becoming clear if the ESPE is switched on for the first
time and the ESPE is configured with an automatic calibration of the protective field
width.
b
Configure a dynamic protective field width.
Arrangement of the muting sensors
b
P
lace the crossing point of the muting sensors directly on the path of the beams of
the ESPE.
b
If this is not possible, place the crossing point in the direction of the hazardous
area.
The signals of the muting sensors are on the extension connection. Alternatively, the
input of a muting signal can be moved to the system connection.
Principle of operation
Once muting sensors A1 and A2 are actuated, muting is active.
Muting remains active until one of the muting sensors becomes clear.
