11.3 Completeness and transport damage
Checking for
completeness
➭ Check whether the delivery is complete using the delivery notes and packing lists.
➭ Compare the serial number of the switchgear printed on the delivery note with the serial
number on the packing and the serial number on the rating plate.
➭ Check whether the switchgear accessories are complete.
Transport damages ➭ Temporarily open the packing in a weatherproof place to detect hidden damages. In order
to prevent pollution of the switchgear, do not remove the PE foil completely until reaching
the final mounting position.
➭ Check the switchgear for transport damages.
➭ Check service readiness (see page 57, "Checking service readiness").
➭ Refit the packing at the best.
➭ Determine and document detected defects and transport damages immediately, e.g. on the
freight documents.
➭ Document larger defects and transport damages photographically.
➭ Please contact the regional Siemens representative in order to repair the transport damages.
