Err 16 Generator ON The capacitors are
charging too rapidly
(> 28 V/s)
• Check the capacitance in the
capacitor bank (see section "P03 -
Capacitor bank and charging test").
• If the capacitance is too low, the
capacitors are disconnected.
If there is an internal error in the
capacitors, the whole row is
disconnected by a fuse (see page
125** and section "Battery circuit
and power transmission unit").
• If the error occurs after working on
the capacitor bank, the internal
residual voltage in the modules
may have been too high when they
were connected to each other. This
may have caused the fuse to blow
(see page 125**).
Err 17 Generator ON The capacitors are
charging too slowly

• Check that S10 on D7 is switched
off.
• If the error occurs after working on
the capacitor bank, check the
cabling and the connections to the
capacitor bank (see page 125**).
• Check fuse U8 on D8 and fuse U1
on D7.
• Check the capacitance in the
capacitor bank (see section "P03 -
Capacitor bank and charging test").
• Internal short-circuiting in a
capacitor or in the capacitor bank
(see section "Battery circuit and
power transmission unit").
