Then click on the Xshell shortcut on the right
6. Once the terminal opens click Connect
7. Then type FIRMM to start the software
8. The software will take a moment to load
9. When FIRMM starts, an X11 terminal should open and you should see a screen like this:
Using FIRMM
1. Once open, you need to click the start button at the top right of the FIRMM GUI window
to begin monitoring for DICOMs
2. Once FIRMM has been started, it will process each bold sequence
3. There is about a 40sec delay before data is generated for each bold – the data will start to
stream from FIRMM around the same time that the inline display shows images
4. When FIRMM first begins processing, a dialog box will appear asking you to check that
the participant ID on the FIRMM screen is correct
5. If the participant ID is correct for the current session, you may continue
