4.1 Hardware configuration
Maximum configuration
● The integrated power supply of the interface module feeds 14 W into the backplane bus.
Up to 12 I/O modules can be supplied this way. The exact number of operable modules is
the result of the power budget (see chapter Power budget calculation (Page 32)).
● A maximum o
f one power supply module
(PS) upstream from the interface module and
two downstream from the interface module is possible.
● If you use a power supply module (PS) upstream from the interface module, the
maximum possible configuration is a total of 32 modules (up to 30 modules downstream
from the interface module).

