9.4 Firmware update
Introduction
During operation of the ET 200MP it may be necessary to update the firmware (e,g. for
functional enhancements).
Update the firmware of the interface module and I/O modules using firmware files.
Options for the firmware update
Online via PROFINET IO (with STEP 7)
Requirement
The ET 200MP is accessible online via PROFINET IO.
Procedure
Connect the PG/PC to the PROFINET IO interface of the ET 200MP.
Note
Firmware update of analog I/O modules
For analog I/O modules, the supply voltage must be present on the module at the start of
and during the firmware update.
