5.17 User-Defined Annunciations
5.17.1 Functional Description
The bay unit has four annunciations which you can define yourself and allocate them
to alarm relays, LEDs or trip relays.
Each annunciation is allocated to a delay time. The delay times are set with the pa-
rameters T-Annunc.1 to T-Annunc.4 (2801/BU, 2802/BU, 2803/BU, 2804/
BU). Each of these four delay times can be started by its own binary input >Annunc.
1 .. 4 (FNo. 11, 12, 13, 14/BU). After the delay time has elapsed and if the pa-
rameter "ANNUN1byCU" .. "ANNUN4byCU" (2811/BU, 2812/BU, 2813/BU, 2814/BU)
is set to NO, the user-defined annunications "Annunc. 1" .. 4 (FNo. 7696, 7697,
7698, 7699/BU) are issued. If the parameter "ANNUN1byCU" .. is set to YES, the an-
nunciation is transferred to the central unit. The following figure shows a simplified
schematic.

CFC functionality
of the bay unit
In order to be able to use the advantages of the CFC functionality available in the cen-
tral unit for the bay units, the following procedure can be chosen. Each of these an-
nunciations is transferred to the central unit and can optionally be linked via CFC and
sent back to the respective bay unit and processed. For that, you use a CFC input an-
nunciation (BU FXX user-def. annunciation 1/I) and a CFC output annunci-
ation (BU FXX user-def. annunciation 1/O) each in the central unit for every
user-definable bay unit annunciation. With DIGSI, you can rename these annuncia-
tions to self-explanatory designations.
A further option for processing the user-defined annunciations in the bay unit is to use
them for the generation of binary input annunciations. For that, a parameter
ANN1Fct.Nr to ANN4Fct.Nr (2821/BU .. 2824/BU) exists for each of the four user-
defined annunciations to enter the annunciation number of the binary input annuncia-
