8.6 Soft Torque
Operating principle of soft torque during starting
The Soft torque function reduces the drive acceleration rate shortly before the motor reaches
its rated operating speed. This produces an almost linear speed curve. This helps to ensure
smooth movement of a conveyor belt, for example, and so prevent fragile goods on the belt
from tipping over.
