2.3 SITOP UPS1600 with UPS1100
In the case of a power failure, the SITOP UPS1600 uninterruptible power supply
can supply the automation system with 24V for up to several hours. Depending on
the version of the DC USV, it is integrated into the control system by means of
digital I/Os or via PROFINET (Figure 3-3). The UPS1600's intelligent battery
management and communication via the Energy Storage Link ensure optimal
charging and continuous monitoring of the UPS1100 battery modules. The buffer
time of the DC UPS depends on the load current and capacity and the number of
battery modules. When choosing the correct DC USV configuration, the SITOP
