Humming noise Compressor humming ► Compressor starting up
► Not a fault
Drum has been heavily overloaded. ► Replace drum and drum bearing.Running noises from the drum bearing
Appliance has been damaged during
transport.
► Replace drum and drum bearing.
Clicking noises
"cln" or (LED) progress bar "Heat ex-
changer being rinsed" on the display
Lifting magnet has attracted during auto-
matic cleaning.
► Not a fault.
Hard components on the laundry load, e.g.
buttons, buckles and zips, rattle against
the drum while the programme is running.
► No errorRattling noises
Bent cooling pipes ► Bend pipes back into shape
Axle on drum no longer straight ► Check axle for quiet running by rotating drum
► Replace drum if necessary
Damage to bearing ► Replace bearing
Drum cracked ► Replace drum
Banging noises
Rolling rollers out of round
Rolling rollers can become out of round if
immobile for a long time
► Replace rolling rollers
► Let appliance run with laundry inside. Rolling rollers will readjust themselves
Pulsating noises Appliances with steam generator: If pro-
grammes use steam, steam is blown
through the drum.
► Not a fault.
Slurping noises
Slurping pump
Condensation pump is running dry ► No condensation in the base group, pump is drawing air.
Buzzing noise Cooling fan has activated. ► Not a fault
► Ventilate room adequately.
