Telescopic Cylinder

Disassembly
1. Extend the telescopic boom until the telescopic cyl-
inder pivot pin #1 is just accessible.
2. Remove the main boom and place it on a suitable
support.
3. Remove the retaining ring at pivot pin #1 that se-
cures the telescopic cylinder piston rod to the tele-
scopic boom and knock out the pivot pin #1 with a
brass rod and mallet.
4. Remove the bolt at pivot pin #2 that secures the
telescopic cylinder to the base boom, and remove
the stopper and gasket.
5. Use suitable lifting equipment to support the front
end of the telescopic cylinder and carefully and
slowly pull the cylinder out of the main boom head.
NOTICE
When pulling the telescopic cylinder out of the
main boom, take extra care to avoid damaging
other parts of the boom tube.
6. Before the telescopic cylinder is fully pulled out of
the main boom, adjust the lifting equipment to pro-
vide sufficient support for the entire cylinder.
7. With the assistance of the lifting equipment, slowly
remove the cylinder from the main boom and care-
fully place it on a suitable support.
Installation
Follow the reverse order of the disassembly procedures.
