8. Reinstall the air filter cover, making sure you match
the arrow on the cover with the arrow on the
housing.
9. Latch the air filter cover to the housing.
Replace the Air Filter Element
It is recommended to replace the air filter element every
3 months or after 250 hours of operation.
When replacing the element, clean the inside of the air
filter case.
If the air filter is equipped with a double element, only re-
move and replace the inner element if the engine lacks
power or the dust indicator actuates (if equipped). This
is in addition to replacing the outer element.
Belt Drive
• Do not carry out work on the belt drive unless
the engine is at standstill.
• After repairs: Check that all protective devices
have been installed and that all tools have
been removed from the engine.
Adjust the Belt Tension

3. Pry bar
1. Loosen the adjusting bolts and related bolts and/or
nuts.
2. Then move the alternator with a pry bar.
3. Tighten the belt to the desired tension.
4. There must be clearance between the belt and the
bottom of the pulley groove. If there is no clearance
between the belt and the bottom of the pulley
groove, replace the belt.
5. After adjusting, run the engine for 5 minutes or
more. Check the tension again.
Replace the V-ribbed Belt
It is recommended to replace the V-ribbed belt every 2
years or after 2000 hours of operation.
