Preparations and Connections
Required Devices
To carry out video editing with this unit requires other devices
as listed below.
Recorder
Use a Video Walkman with an LCD screen.
Player
Use one of the following video devices capable of a LANC
(Control-L) connection.
• DVCAM or DV format video device (with a DV connector)
• A video device with an S-video or video output.
Use of a DVCAM or DV format device for the player is
recommended.
In this case the editing is carried out entirely digitally, and
there is no loss of image quality.
Since an S-video or video output is analog, there may be some
loss in image quality.
