Stihl TS 440 - 4.3 Installing the rear V belt

N Actuate the brake lever (7) and hold it there.
N Push locking pin (arrow) 4130 893 7800 through the
holding-down clamp (10) as far as it will go. The brake
lever underneath the holding-down clamp (10) will be
immobilized.
N Release the brake lever (7).
N Remove the V belt (5).
N Actuate the brake lever (7) and hold it there.
N Remove locking pin (arrow) 4130 893 7800.
N Slowly release brake lever (7).
4.3 Installing the rear V belt
N If the front V belt (6) is removed: Install front V belt (6),
@ 4.5
N Actuate the brake lever (7) and hold it there.
N Push locking pin (arrow) 4130 893 7800 through the
holding-down clamp (10) as far as it will go. The brake
lever underneath the holding-down clamp (10) will be
immobilized.
N Release the brake lever (7).
N Mount V belt (5) starting on the clutch drum.
N Once the V belt is mounted, turn the front belt pulley
3 turns.
N Slowly undo the nut (8). The V belt (5) is tensioned.
N Turn the center belt pulley 3 turns. The tension is
evenly distributed.
