Stihl TS 440 - 12.3 Installing the generator

N Unscrew screw (4) and screws (2) with
screwdriver 5910 890 2301.
N Lift up the generator (3).
N Pull ground wire (8) and generator wire (6) out of the
guides in the cable holder (5).
N Pry out cable holder (5).
N Remove generator (3).
12.3 Installing the generator
N Place generator (3) in position.
N Pass generator wire (6) through opening (arrow).
N Insert generator wire (6) and ground wire (8) into the
cable holder (5).
N Coat cable holder (5) with STIHL press fluid.
N Press cable holder (5) into the opening (arrow).
N Pass generator wire (6) behind strap (arrow) of cable
holder (5). The generator wire (6) should lie snugly.
N Route the ground wire (8) so that the crimped side
faces the screw head.
N Place generator (3) in position. The cable holder (5)
is located under the generator.
N Push ground wire (8) and generator wire (6) into the
guides in the cable holder (5).
N Coat screw (4) and screws (2) with thread-locking
adhesive.
N Insert and tighten screw (4) and screws (2).
N Pass generator wire (6) through grommet (7).
N Push insulating hose (1) onto generator wire (6).
N Connect the plug connection.
N Slide insulating hose (1) over middle of plug
connection.
N Insert grommet (7).
