Appendix 1: STONEX S10A/S10AN electronic bubble and
tilt sensor Calibration procedure.
One of the most innovative features of Stonex S10A GNSS is the high
sensitivity tilt sensor, embedded in the receiver.
This feature dramatically increase the speed of the field works and the
accuracy of any measurement.
Thanks to the tilt sensor the Surveyor can check the vertical position of the
rover directly on the Controller’s display, and survey points even in case the
position of the GNSS is not vertical and the measure must be done with the
pole in tilted position.
Accurate measurements require an accurate calibration of the tilt sensor:
when the User needs to use the tilt sensor capabilities, the first calibration
must be done, and only in case of completely different work environments a
second calibration procedure is suggested (i.e., when S10A/S10AN are used
thousands of Km far from the location of the previous calibration). The
following notes help the User to perform a perfect calibration; in case of
need, the User can contact the Authorized Stonex local Dealer or mail to
Support@stonex.it.
