Detected Condition Possible Cause
No voltage is applied to fuel pump although fuel pump
relay is turned ON, or voltage is applied to fuel pump,
although fuel pump relay is turned OFF.
NOTE
• If SDS is used, P0230-H is indicated when
Voltage is applied to fuel pump although
fuel pump relay is turned OFF.
• If SDS is used, P0230-L is indicated when
No voltage is applied to fuel pump although
fuel pump relay is turned ON.
• Fuel pump relay circuit open or short
• Fuel pump relay malfunction
• ECM malfunction
NOTE
• When P0230-H is displayed, it is possible that
fuel pump relay switch circuit is shorted to
power source or fuel pump (switch side) is
faulty.
• When P0230-L is displayed, it is possible that
fuel pump relay coil circuit is open or short,
or fuel pump relay (coil side) is faulty.
