It is most impor-

when the disk is being formatted.
If this happens, the unit may be-

A message reminds you that all songs will be lost.
5 Press ENTER again to format the disk with the new partition sizes (or
EXIT to escape without formatting).

WHAT YOU REALLY WANT TO
DO.
If you want to keep partition sizes the same, or you only wish to clean out one

1 Press MENU and select the DISK menu.
2 Select the REFORM action and press the y key
An arrow () shows the active partition. The sizes of the partitions
are shown (not the available space).

lost.
4 Press ENTER to reformat the partition.

this operation—all
data on the FAT partition is lost.
ONLY CARRY OUT THIS OPERA-
TION IF YOU ARE SURE THIS IS
WHAT YOU REALLY WANT TO
DO.
The FAT partition is used for transfer between the DP-01 and a personal com-
puter. Its size is fixed by the DP-01, and cannot be changed.
1 Press MENU and select the DISK menu.
2 Select the FAT REFORM action and press the y key
3 Press ENTER.
A popup message reminds you that all data on the FAT partition will
be lost.
4 Press ENTER to reformat the FAT partition.
Automatic song creation
After formatting a disk or a partition, a new song is always created on any
blank partition, in the same way that one is created if the only song on a parti-
