7.5 Access Control
7.5.1 Overview
The access control function enables you to allow or disallow the wireless devices to access the wireless
network of the AP based on their MAC addresses.
The AP supports the following 3 filter modes:
− Disable: It indicates that access control is disabled. In this case, all wireless devices can access the
wireless networks of the AP.
− Allow: It indicates that only the wireless devices with the specified MAC addresses can access the
wireless networks of the AP.
− Disallow: It indicates that only the wireless devices with the specified MAC addresses cannot
access the wireless networks of the AP.
7.5.2 Configuring Access Control
Step 1 Choose Wireless Setting > Access Control.
Step 2 Select a wireless network radio band on which access control must be implemented.
Step 3 From the SSID drop-down list box, select an SSID of the wireless network to which the rule applies.
Step 4 Select a filter mode from the MAC Address Filter Mode drop-down list.
Step 5 Enter the MAC addresses of the wireless devices to which the rule applies.
Step 6 Click Add.
If you want to control the devices in the wireless client list, directly click the Add button corresponding
to the device.
Step 7 Click Save.
