Powerline devices, clients connected wirelessly to the PW201A are able to
access Internet. B. Simply connect the PW201A to an Internet-enabled
broadband router using an Ethernet cable. And clients connected wirelessly
to the PW201A will be able to access Internet.
4. Q: Do I need to install a utility to use the device?
A: No. The device is a plug-&-play Powerline device. Two Powerline
devices connected to the same electricity meter are able to interconnect
automatically, no configuration required. Yet, there is still an included Web
based utility for configuring advanced features.
5. Q: I want to access Internet and manage the PLC AP concurrently
from my PC. What should I do?
A: First, set your PC's IP address to "192.168.0.x" where x represents
any integer between 2 and 253. Second, Launch a web browser and access
the Device's web utility. Third, enter the LAN configuration screen and
change the Device's LAN IP to an IP address that is on the same IP net
segment as the LAN IP of an Internet-enabled broadband router (note it
down for future use). Fourth, set your PC to "Obtain an IP address
automatically". Now you can access Internet while managing the Device.
