Spring-loaded brake "emergency release"
Loosen the nuts (48/2) and turn back approx. 8
mm to the screws (48/1).
Tighten screws (48/1) in alternation with ring
wrench, 1/4 rotation each, up to the stop on the
pressure plate
Screw in one rotation at maximum.
After towing, re-adjust the spring-loaded
brake.
Adjust spring-loaded brake after "emergency
release"
Unscrew the screws (48/1) with nut (48/2) and
sealing disk (48/3). Replace sealing disk
(E.No.: 5370651868), grease or oil screw and
reinstall.
Screw in screws (48/1) until adjustment
dimension equals 31 ± 0.5 mm.
Counterlock screws with nuts (48/2).
Check adjustment dimension again.
Releasing the spring-loaded cylinder
The spring brake cylinder is released with a
strong strike from below on the quick release
sleeve (48-1/1) toward the cylinder.
To activate the spring brake cylinder,
release the parking brake. Quick release
sleeve locks in place independently.
