3.12 OKULIX
3.12.1 Precautions when using OKULIX
OKULIX is software that calculates IOL power using
the ray tracing method.
OKULIX was developed and is manufactured by
Professor Preussner.
We sell this software as an import agent.
However, please understand the calculation result
obtained by OKULIX is still under evaluation and be
extremely careful when using it.
Because OKULIX uses the data in an area of up to
φ
6
mm for calculating IOL, have the patient open their eye
sufciently so that no part of the color code map of up
to
φ
6 mm is missed.
Check that no part of the color code map is missed not
only due to inuences by insufciently opening the eye
or eyelashes but also due to breakage of the tear lm.
When using the merged topo data, check that no
part of the area of up to
φ
6 mm is missed on the
pachymetry map.
When calculating the IOL power of another patient
using OKULIX, be sure to close OKULIX before
starting calculation.
Do not start two instances of OKULIX at the same
time.
The measurement data of another patient may be
included.
