4 EDITING FUNCTIONS
128 Outside Erase

Set “outside erase”.
1) Adjust the width of the border around the original by pressing either or as required.
When you adjust it to the side, the area to be detected as not belonging to the original is widened.
When you adjust it to the side, the area to be detected as not belonging to the original is narrowed.
2) Press [OK].
Do not place any heavy objects (4 kg (9 lb.) or over) on the original glass and do not press on it with
force.
Breaking the glass could injure you.

Select other copy modes as required, and then press the [START] button on the control
panel.

Place the original on the original glass.
y When placing the original, be sure that the Original Cover
(optional) or the RADF (optional) is fully raised. If not, this
function may not properly be able to detect the border between
the original and areas not belonging to it.
y Do not directly look at the original glass during copying since an
intense light may leak.
