D The SRS warning light remains on.
CAUTION
D You must tur n of f the front passen-
ger airbag and side airbag on the
front passenger si de when it i s un-
avoidable to inst all the rear −facing
child restr aint system on t he front
passenger seat.
D Never inst all a rear −facing chi ld re-
strai nt system on the f ront passen-
ger seat wit h the airbags turned on.
Otherwi se, the for ce of the r apid
infl ation of the airbags coul d cause
death or serious injury to the child.
D Do not turn off the font passenger
airbag and SRS side air bags on
passenger seat manual on−off
switch except when the rear −facing
child r estrai nt system is inst alled
on the front passenger seat.
D When the passenger airbag manual
on−off switch is turned off, the
front passenger airbag and SRS
side air bag on front passenger seat
will not inflate in a collision and
turni ng off t he front passenger ai r-
bag and SRS side airbag on front
passenger seat can reduce the oc-
cupant protect ion which your ve-
hicle safety syst ems can pr ovide t o
you i n cer tain accidents and in-
crease the l ikelihood of seri ous in-
juri es.
