tem on t he r ear seat if it int erfer es
with the lock mechanism of the
front seats. Ot herwise, t he child or
front seat occupant (s) may be killed
or seriously inj ured in the event of
sudden braki ng, sudden swerving or
an accident.
D If the dr iver ’s seat posit ion does
not al low suff icient space f or safe
installation, install the child re-
strai nt syst em on t he rear ri ght
seat (l eft−hand dr ive vehicle) or
rear lef t seat (ri ght−hand dri ve ve-
hicle) . Child restr aint system
instal led on the rear seat shoul d
not contact the front seat backs.

system in the rear center posit ion,
adjust both seat cushions to the
rear most position and align all
seatbacks at the same angle. Other-
wise, t he chil d rest raint system can-
not be secur ely r estrai ned and t his
may cause death or ser ious inj uries
in t he event of sudden br aking,
sudden swerving or an accident.
