To pair phones
1. Turn the “AUDIO/ CONTROL” knob until
“Pair Phone” is dis played and push the
knob.
2. Turn the “AUDIO/ CONTROL” knob until
“Recor d Name” is dis played, push the
knob and say “XXX (des ired phone
name)”.
3. Turn the “AUDIO/ CONTROL” knob until
“Confi rm” is displ ayed and pus h t he
knob.
After “HANDS FREE” is dis played, a pass-
key

is dis played.
4. Input the passkey displayed on the
scr een into the phone.
“Pair ed” is dis played.
The system may not function in the follow-
ing cases :
D If 6 phones have already been regis-
tered.
D If the vehi cle is mov ing.
D If the system cannot c ommunicat e wi th
the phone.

: Passkey is a password required to reg-
ist er a phone t o the system.

z To use the hands−fr ee system, you
need t o register your phone in the
system. Once you have regist ered
it, you can make a hands−free cal l.
Up to 6 phones can be register ed.
z For the oper ation of t he phone, see
the manual that comes wit h your
cellular phone.
z The passkey can be changed. See
page 322 for changing the passkey.
To select a phone
Turn t he “ AUDIO/CONTROL” knob until
“Selec t Phone” is dis played and push the
knob.
When the phone i s select ed by a voice
command:
Push the tal k switc h and say the phone
name.
“XXX” is dis played.
Turn t he “ AUDIO/CONTROL” knob until
“Confi rm” is di splay ed and pus h t he knob.
When t he phone is sel ected by usi ng
the knob:
Turn t he “ AUDIO/CONTROL” knob until
the desir ed phone name is di splay ed and
push the knob.
“XXX” selec ted.
The system may not function in the follow-
ing cases :
D If the phone is not found.
D If the system does not recogni ze the
voic e command.
To change a name
Turn t he “ AUDIO/CONTROL” knob until
“Change Name” i s dis played and pus h the
knob.
When the phone i s select ed by a voice
command:
Push the tal k switc h and say the phone
name.
“XXX” is dis played.
