D The back door may close if it is not
opened full y. I t is mor e diffi cult to
open or close t he back door on an
incli ne than on a l evel surface, so
beware of the back door unexpect-
edly openi ng or closi ng by itself .
Make sure that the back door is
full y open and secure bef ore using
the luggage compartment.
D When closing the back door, take
extra car e to prevent your f ingers
etc. fr om being caught.
D When closi ng the back door, make
sure to press it lightly on its outer
surface.
D Do not attach any accessories other
than genuine Toyota parts to the
back door. Such additi onal weight
on the back door may int erfere wit h
the saf ety openi ng and cl osing op-
erati on of the back door.
D If the open back door hi des the
stop, t ail or rear turn signal l ights
while you are par ked, other r oad
users must be w arned of the pr es-
ence of your vehi cle by a warni ng
tri angle or other device.
