Unlocking operati on
Grasp the outside door handle ( sensors
are locat ed on the undersi de of the
door handles). All the door s unlock
when any of the front door handles are
grasped. At this ti me the tur n signal
light s flash twice.
The doors may not unlock if the handle
is grasped too quick ly. Be s ure to c onfirm
that the doors are unloc ked before pulling
the door handl e. I f the door s do not open
when the handle is pull ed, r eturn the han-
dle to its ori ginal posi tion.
Wearing gloves m ay slow r esponse ti me.
For three sec onds after t he doors have
been lock ed, the door s c annot be re−un-
lock ed v ia the smart entr y and start sy s-
tem.
If the wi reles s remote c ontrol i s us ed to
lock t he doors near the window or door
handle, there is a pos sibilit y that the door
may not unloc ked by ent ry funct ion of
smart entry and start system. Under t hese
cir cumst ances, use t he w ireles s remote
contr ol to unlock t he doors.
When y ou enter the entry funct ion act ua-
tion area, the illuminated entry function
will be acti vated. Aft er the light s come on,
all the side doors can be unl ocked by
graspi ng the outside door handle.
You have 30 s econds to open a door aft er
operati ng t he unl ocki ng function. If a door
is not opened by then, al l t he door s will
be automatic ally loc ked again.
The doors may unlock if the key is wi thin
the ent ry funct ion ac tuati on area and a
large amount of water splas hes on the
door handle (f or example, in the rain or
inacarwash).
When you unlock the door s, t he illumi-
nated ent ry func tion wil l be act ivat ed. (For
