WARNING – Charge and use the rechargeable Lithium-ion battery only in strict
accordance with the instructions. Charging or using the battery in unauthorized
equipment can cause an explosion or fire, and can result in personal injury and/or
equipment damage.
To prevent injury or damage:
– Do not charge or use the battery if it appears to be damaged or leaking.
– Charge the Lithium-ion battery only in a Trimbl
e product that is specified to charge it.
Be sure to follow all instructions that are provided with the battery charger.
– Discontinue charging a battery that gives of
f extreme heat or a burning odor.
– Use the battery only in Trimble equipment that is specified to use it.
– Use the battery only for its intended use and according to
the instructions in the product
documentation.

Memory card use
The Juno series handheld provides a memory card slot, providing an alternative
storage location to the storage memory in the handheld.

WARNING – Static electricity can harm electronic components inside your handheld. To
prevent static damage:
– Discharge static electricity from your body before you touch any of the electronic
components inside your device, such as a memory module. You can do so by touching an
unpainted metal surface.

WARNING – The presence of any dust or moisture in the memory card slot may adversely
affect the device and void your Trimble warranty. To prevent dust or moisture entering
the memory card slot:
– When inserting or removing a memory card, plac
e the handheld on a dust-free indoor
surface.
External GPS antenna use
The Juno series handheld provides an external GPS antenna port. This port is for GPS
antennas only.

WARNING – The presence of any dust or moisture in the external antenna port may cause
the external antenna to not work. To prevent dust or moisture entering the external
antenna slot, take care when using the handheld with an external antenna in wet or
dusty conditions.
