74 Operating your OpenScape Desk Phone CP700/700X
Remote monitor and access warnings
The phone may be remotely accessed for various reasons. Some are part of normal operation
(such as access by WBM or the DLS) but some types of diagnostic access require the phone
to inform the user (SSH and remote trace recording) that they are taking place. The phone user
may choose to modify their interaction with the phone during these types of remote access.
• SSH is a means of getting low level access to the phone for diagnostic purposes
• Remote trace streams trace data from the phone to be stored on a remote server
Status during connection
An icon is shown and flashes during the remote connection.
SSH access
• For the SSH access the Menu key LED flashes amber whilst the status icon is available to be
seen.
• The Menu key LED only flashes amber when it would be off otherwise (i.e. other LED states have
higher priority).
