12.4 Performing Drug Calculation
A list of drugs can be configured for the monitor containing predefined dosage
recommendations and unit settings. Contact your pharmacist if you have any
questions about the drugs in the list.
a) Entering numbers
To enter numbers, turn the rotary knob to move the cursor. Highlight the
desired values and push the knob to select. Choose each digit and push rotary
knob to enter the digit selection status.
The selection range for each digit is 0 - 9.
When the digit is larger than the display value, it displays “---.--". When it is
smaller than the display value, it displays “0.00”.
b) Calculation rules
The equation for drug volume:
Total Drug = Dose/min* Duration
Dose/min = Dose/(kg*min)*Patient Weight
The equation for solution volume
Liquid Volume = Infusion Rate * Duration
Infusion Rate = Infusion Rate / kg * Patient Weight
Concentration = Total Drug / Liquid Solution Volume
c) Known value and calculation results
Total drug, dosage/min, dosage/ (kg*min), volume, infusion speed, infusion
speed/kg, time, concentration can be entered as known items or be put out
as a calculation result.
