Routine Bi-annual Inspection
The table 5.2 displays the system components that need to be checked twice a year for
symptoms of wear and tear and whether the components function correctly.

Check the filter for clogging and damage
Clean the filter
Fan
Check if the fan blades are distorted
Check bearings for wear and tear
Check and fix connectors
Compressor
Check for Leakage
Check and fix connectors
Check for noise and vibration
Air-cooled condenser
Cleaning the Condenser fins
Fan Base is rigid
Check the vibration absorbing cushion for ageing and
damage
Check if the SPD board is working correctly
Regulate function of the speed regulator
Check SPD board once a week during thunderstorms and
similar situations
Check if refrigerant pipes have suitable support
Check and Fix connectors
Cooling system
Check refrigerant pipes
Check if the suction is too hot and check for suction pressure
Check moisture conditions in the system using the liquid
indicator
Check the discharge pressure and condensing sub cooling

Check the electronic expansion Valve
Check if the refrigerants needs to be added to the system
using the liquid indicator or sight glass

Check eroding of components
Check and fix connectors
Check the functioning of reheat system components

Check water pan drainage for clogging and the water pan for
mineral deposits
Check the Humidifier Lamp
Check the water pan for mineral deposits

Check the closing condition of the contactor
