Hot Desk
Vodavi digital keysets can use the Hot Desk feature by using the 636
(Station Relocate feature code). This feature allows any keyset in the
system to dial 636 and a different station number, that will change the
station’s number to the dialed station number.
The keyset inherits the new station’s attributes, e.g., CO routing, ring
assignments, DID routing, speed dial, voice mail, and hunt group
assignments.
The keyset and the new station must be of the same model
designation (Flash 50/51, Page B, Button #1) and the new station
must have been in an Out of Service (OOS) condition, i.e., not
plugged in.
For example … One application of this feature is that several
employees can use the same physical keyset at different time
frames and they can quickly change the station number to use
features that they have customized for their own use.
To make a Hot Desk flexible feature Login button:
1. Press the SPEED button twice.
2. Press the desired button to program (it must be programmed in the
database as a multifunction button).
3. Dial [636] on the keypad, then dial the station number of an OOS
station with the same model designation as the keyset you are
dialing from.
