7.1.3.2 Unpressurised quenching fluid tank

• The quenching fluid tank must always be a quarter full with quenching fluid to allow for thermal
expansion.
Note that the level of quenching fluid in the tank can vary due to operational heating of the pump.
• Unscrew the upper housing of the quenching fluid tank to top up the tank (hold the union nut tight so
that the lower screw connection does not come loose).
• After that fill shortages of quantities into the quenching fluid tank.
