othersofthiswork.Youshouldalsoattacha“DoNot
Operate”taginanobviousplaceintheoperator'sstation.
Alwaysparkandprepareyourmachineforserviceor
repairproperly.

Parkthemachineonasecure,levelsurfaceandlower
theequipmenttotheground.
•
Disablethepilothydraulics.
•
Turnthepilotresetswitchtothe“OFF”position.
•
Stoptheengineandremovethekey.
Whenworkingonthefellinghead,ensuretheattachment
issecurelysupported:DONOTsupportthemachine
oncinderblocks,hollowtiles,orotherpropsthatmay
crumbleundercontinuousload.
DONOTworkunderamachinethatissolelysupported
byajack.
Beforestartingtheserviceprocedure(s),ensureyoufully
understandthestepsinvolved.
Ensuretheserviceareaiscleananddry,and,wherever
possible,trytokeepitinthiscondition.
Iftheengineneedstoberunningfortheserviceprocedure,
ensuretwopeopleareinvolvedintheservicework.
Ensureanylonghairsaretiedbehindyourhead.T o
minimisetheriskofseriousinjury,donotwearanecktie,
scarf,looseclothing,oranecklacewhenusingmachine
toolsorworkingwithmovingparts.Inaddition,ensureyou
removeringsandotheritemsofjewelrypriortostarting
work.
