tubing to the mass spectrometer inlet is routed through the groove
on the right-hand side of the column compartment.
d. If you installed the active preheater, connect the column inlet to the
active preheater by holding the active preheater’s reusable
compression fitting in place, rotating the column onto the fitting
until it is snug, and then tightening an additional 1/6 turn.
e. Connect the column inlet or active preheater tubing to injector port
6 of the sample manager.
Tip: To ensure that the sample manager door closes properly, and
does not damage the tubing, route the tubing as shown in the
drawing below.
f. Attach the column-outlet tubing to the mass spectrometer’s inlet.
Tip: Consult the sample manager’s documentation for more
information about connecting to the inlet.
