4. Reposition the instruments for the new configuration.
5. Set up waste management, as needed.
6. Exchange the valve cartridges.
7. Install new magnetic diagrams (see page 68).
8. Install the tubing.
9. Configure all columns in the software.
Removing the fittings from the inlet and outlet valves
To remove the fittings from the inlet and outlet valves:
1. Power-off the column manager (CM-A) and detector.
2. Disconnect the power and Ethernet cables from the rear panel of the
CM-A and detector.
3. Remove all solvent bottles from the bottle tray.
4. Remove the solvent tray from the system stack.
5. Push the latches atop the CM-A’s column compartment cover inward, to
disengage them from the latch pins.
Warning: To avoid injuries arising from personal contact with
spilled solvent, remove the solvent bottles from the solvent tray
before removing the solvent tray.
