2 Safety
• Unsuitable cleaning agents and disinfectants can damage the
portable unit, lead to malfunctions and prevent thorough
cleaning and disinfection of the portable unit.
Hygienically reprocess the portable unit and accessories after
every use in accordance with the cleaning and disinfection plan
(see "8.7 Cleaning and disinfection plan", page 155).
Wear suitable protective equipment, e.g., gloves, during
hygienic reprocessing.
Only use the quoted cleaning agents and disinfectants.
2.9 Safe use of the portable unit and
accessories
2.9.1 Use the portable unit properly
If subjected to additional loading, the portable unit can be
damaged or damage the device.
Do not load the portable unit with additional weight, e.g.,
by leaning on it, sitting on it, standing on it, using it as an
access aid, to hit windows and doors.
2.9.2 Do not use the portable unit in magnetic
resonance scanners
Use of the portable unit in magnetic resonance scanners can cause
the device to malfunction and can impair treatment.
Never operate the portable unit in combination with magnetic
resonance scanners (MRT, NMR, NMI).
2.9.3 Use approved medical devices and approved
accessories
Attachment and connection of unapproved medical devices
and unapproved accessories can reduce mechanical strength and
result in a loss of conformity. Furthermore, the biocompatibility
requirements may not be met and the fitness for use may be
restricted.
Only use medical devices and accessories approved by
WEINMANN Emergency.
