8 Hygienic reprocessing
• Uneven surfaces and grooves (e.g.,hook and loop
fasteners, zippers, belt buckles) must be sufficiently
wetted with the disinfectant.
• The exposure time stated by the manufacturer of
the disinfectant must be observed.
3. With cables: Wrap a disposable cloth around the cable and
pull the cable through the cloth.
4. Allow the parts to dry fully.
Result The parts are wipe disinfected.
8.5 Reprocessing parts mechanically
Requirement • The parts are probably contaminated or heavily soiled.
• The hygienic reprocessing is prepared (see "8.2 Preparing
hygienic reprocessing", page 150).
1. The agent, doses and exposure time for the parts can be found
in the cleaning and disinfection plan (see "8.7 Cleaning and
disinfection plan", page 155).
2. Soak the parts for at least 10 minutes in faucet water.
Some materials may be discolored due to mechanical
reprocessing. Discolorations do not impair the functioning of
the product.
