The tension gauge should be checked occasionally when adjusting the cant control or
while cutting. Ambient temperature changes will cause tension to change. Adjust the ten-
sion handle as necessary to maintain the recommended tension level.
3.7 Tracking The Blade
1. Turn the key switch to #3 position.
2. Engage the blade switch.
3. Manually spin one of the blade wheels until the blade positions itself on the blade wheels.
4. Check that if the blade is properly positioned on the blade wheels.
See Figure 3-6. Position 1 1/4” wide blades so the gullet is 1/8" (3.0 mm) out from the
edge of the blade wheel (±1/16 [1.5 mm]). Position 1 1/2” blades so the gullet is 3/16”
(4.5 mm) out from the edge of the blade wheel (±1/16 [1.5 mm]).
