If the pretensioner and airbag are not activated
during a collision, it does not mean that they
have malfunctioned. This usually means that
the intensity or type of collision is not enough
to activate them.

Once the seat belt pretensioner is
activated, it must be replaced. After
the accident, the airbags, seat belt
pretensioners and other related
components must be submitted for
inspection and replaced if necessary.
