How Airbags WorkHow Airbags Work
Whether airbags inflate does not depend on
the speed of the vehicle when the accident
occurs, but depends on the collision intensity
collected by the collision sensor when the
accident occurs. When the impact force of a
collision is absorbed or dispersed to the vehicle
body, the airbags may not inflate; however,
airbags sometimes may inflate depending
on the impact conditions during an accident.
Therefore, whether airbags inate or not is not
judged based on the degree of damage to the
vehicle.
Airbags may inflate under the following
conditions:
●
When crossing the deeper groove, the
car head hits the ground.
●
When hitting bumps, curbstones, etc.
●
The car bumped into the ground when
going down a steep slope.
Airbags may not inflate under the following
conditions:
●
Hit a concrete pillar, tree or other
elongated object.
●
Hits the tail of a large truck and other
large trucks rear-end collision.
●
The rear of the vehicle encountered
rear-end collision of other vehicles.
●
The vehicle rolls side or rolls over.
●
Hit the wall or vehicle from side
direction.
